Their Story

How They Met

Dennies and Kassidy met on the tennis court. They were both on the travel team for St. Joe's Club Tennis team. They began seeing each other throughout college, but Dennies then moved to New York for work. They reconnected while he was in the Philadelphia area for work, but after his short stint in NYC, he moved to San Francisco for work; however, infatuated with Kassidy, Dennies wanted to give the relationship a shot even if it meant long distance. When Dennies first asked Kassidy to be his girlfriend, she hit him and said, "What took you so long?!"

The Proposal

Dennies and Kassidy did long distance for three-and-a-half years when eventually Kassidy moved to San Francisco to be with Dennies. While they loved SF, Kassidy absolutely loved Philly and wanted to move back. Dennies - being an amazing boyfriend - happily went along and they did a road trip (their second together!) from SF to PHL. Dennies sealed the deal in August 2024 and proposed to Kassidy where it all started for the two: in the city of brotherly love. Dennies proposed in the presence of their two lovely boys, Loki and Oliver, and Kassidy's maid of honor, Lauren, who helped with the proposal. Dennies promised Kassidy two things that day: that he would be faithfully her's forever, and that they would live in Philly (or the greater Philly area) for as long as she wanted. When he proposed, Kassidy said, "Yes" before he could even get down on one knee.

Wedding Party

Person 1

Lauren Hawkins

Maid of Honor

Lauren and Kassidy became roommates freshman year of college and quickly became best friends who did everything together. From their aimless drives, coffee runs, and endless wine nights, they never had a dull moment and remain inseparable.

Person 2

John Rody

Best Man

John is Dennies’s best friend and roommate from college. Dennies and John met through high school tennis and have been friends ever since. When they’re not talking finance… well, they’re always talking finance! His nickname is "Real Estate King".

Person 3

Tara Callahan

Bridesmaid

Tara is Kassidy’s “little” from their sorority in college (which Kassidy always forgets). Tara and Kassidy became a package deal after Tara’s campaign to get Dennies and Kassidy to move back to Philly. Tara can often be found on Dennies and Kassidy’s couch.

Person 4

Daniel Chung

Groomsman

Dan is Dennies’s brother and lifelong role model. Whether sharing advice, laughs, or unforgettable moments, he’s always been a source of wisdom and support.

Person 4

Sabrina Ramirez

Bridesmaid

Sabrina and Kassidy met at the same time that Dennies and Kassidy met - on the tennis court! Kassidy first thought Sabrina hated her because of Sabrina’s RBF (look it up if you don’t know!), but they quickly became best friends and roommates for most of college!

Person 4

Jason Cook

Groomsman

Jason and Dennies have been friends since college. Together and throughout college, they had an unhealthy amount of fun. Two of the three times they have traveled internationally together, Jason got food poisoning.

Person 4

Gabe Angeles

Bridesman

Gabe and Kassidy also met through Club Tennis a year later! Gabe brought the energy to the tennis courts with his excessive grunting. Kassidy and Gabe became friends quickly after she joined in on his antics and can’t spend a second together without laughing.

Person 4

Chris McBride

Groomsman

Chris and Dennies go way back to their college days as friends and roommates. Whether it’s The Cheesecake Factory or the latest blockbuster, they’ve always shared good food and great movies.

Person 4

Kyra Owen

Bridesmaid

Kyra is Kassidy’s longest friend. They met in high school where Kassidy sat behind Kyra in every class for 4 years. Kyra and Kassidy grew their friendship in college through their shared love of staying home and doing nothing together.

Person 4

Vinny Alibrandi

Groomsman

Vinny and Dennies were roommates and were co-managing partners in the STAR Scholars program during their time at St. Joe’s. Little does Vinny know, Dennies would not have survived the program (or college) without Vinny.

Random Thoughts

What is the significance behind the date, November 22?

1. It's Kassidy's great grandmother's birthday!

2. It's the title of a book written by one of Dennies's favorite authors, Stephen King, 11/22/63

3. In the spirit of getting married at a museum, 11/22 is a very significant day in history (albeit a dark one). It marks the anniversary of JFK's assassination, 11/22/63 (also the central theme of Stephen King's book!)

4. Most importantly, we like the numbers!

What website did you use to build this?

Dennies built it from scratch! We had a look at some of the other websites, and we thought we could do better. Building it ourselves allowed us to build our own custom features and size everything on the website the way we wanted to. For those curious... the site is built using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, with Tailwind CSS for styling and layout. We're hosting the site on Netlify and Upload Care for images. Reach out to Dennies if you ever have any projects you'd like to work on. He charges $1,000 per hour (kidding of course). Or if you're interested in other work/projects he's worked on, you can visit dennieschung.com
